Central was founded in the early 1970s as a residential and commercial construction company based in the town of Central, South Carolina — a name rooted in both place and purpose. For decades, the company quietly built a reputation across the Upstate by delivering a small number of highly executed projects each year, prioritizing craftsmanship, longevity, and construction integrity over volume.

As the Lake Keowee region evolved, so did Central. Over time, the company became synonymous with luxury lakefront construction, completing over a hundred of high-end homes throughout Keowee Key, The Cliffs, The Reserve, and surrounding premier communities along the southern shoreline.

Today, Central operates as a multi-division construction group, encompassing commercial development, custom residential homebuilding, and Central Signature Renovations (CSR).

CSR was established to bring the same standards used in ground-up luxury construction into the renovation space. Backed by decades of full-cycle building experience, our team approaches renovations with a builder’s mindset — understanding structure, sequencing, systems integration, and long-term performance at a level few renovation firms can match.
